Reservation Confirmation: Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of signed rental agreement and deposit of one-half of the rent.

Balance, Security/Damage Deposit & Tax Due: Balance of rent, $400.00 security/damage deposit, cleaning fee  and the Maine tax are due 65 days prior to arrival.

Maine Tax: All rentals are subject to Maine Rental Sales tax (the same as on hotels and motels).

Payment Method: Payment is by personal check in US DOLLARS. We do not accept credit cards.

Check-in and Check-out Times: Check-in time for most homes is 2 PM and check-out time is 10 AM.

Rental Week: Rentals run from Saturday to Saturday with some off-season exceptions by special arrangement.

Arrival Time: Sorry, early arrivals, before 2 PM cannot be accommodated! You do not have to pick up keys anywhere. Your home away from home will be unlocked and ready for you at check-in time. Keys will be left in the rental for you.

Maximum Number of Occupants and Vehicles: Each rental home allows a maximum number of occupants and maximum number of vehicles. You will find this information on each individual rental listing and it is strictly enforced.

Children: Children DO count as occupants with the exception of little ones in portable cribs.

Cleaning: Cleaning is the responsibility of tenants if professional cleaners cannot perform due to circumstances beyond the control of the landlord.

Sheets & Towels: Renters provide their own sheets and towels. If you are flying to Maine and need help with this, we can suggest how you can rent sheets and towels.

Grills, Cable & Internet: Every rental does have a grill and every rental provides cable and Internet service.

Early Reserve Priority Renters Program: We absolutely give priority for the following year to our wonderful renters and do have an “early reserve” program. Many return to “their” rental year after year and have become “Drakes Islanders” at heart!
